After the implementation of Q C Order 2003, prevailing rules has been repealed and ISI mark is compulsory for the Items covered under Q C Order-2003. Now State Govt do not issue any approval / Q C Number for any Electrical Items.

This Department arrange surprise checking at the premises of Manufaturer /Dealer of the electrical Items covered under this order. During checking if any goods mentioned under Order found without ISI mark, those materials will be seized and necessary arrangements are being made to destroy these sub standard items to enhance the safety of the people.

All items have a specific ISI standard & Number. While purchasing such items, consumer shall check the ISI Standard and ISI number with the symbol printed on the box of the item. For Bigger item this number is being also printed on the item. No one shall purchase the item without ISI mark and shall inform this department or BIS regarding the place where this goods are being manufactured/sold/stock up.
